Halo Chronicles was a episodic like video game due to be released on the Xbox 360 but it was cancelled due to "it was going to collapse like the movie did."

Plot[]

The Plot of Halo Chronicles was supposed to be somewhat, episodic. In other words, it's supposed to retell the story of the Halo universe. was to be a "new chapter" in a "new series" of halo.

Why the game was cancelled is to this day unknown, but Jackson said it "Collapsed like the movie did." The game was basically a movie but it allowed for some bits of semi-gameplay. Some bits would allow for decision making which would change the outcome of a certain time and you can watch it play out.

Halo 3: ODST[]

Bungie employees really wanted to help with this new project so they went to get help from New Zealander Developers. Unfortunetly they were too late, both the Halo Movie and Halo Chronicles were cancelled. The Halo Movie is rumored to have been rescheduled for 2012 but this is just a rumor. Fans were infurated and wanted a new halo game. Bungie was pushed to breaking point and they were forced to think up a replacement to satisfy their fans.

In the end, Halo 3: ODST was made, the first halo game to be built completely by Bungie. It featured the graphics of Halo 3 but was based inside the Halo 2 and Halo 3 games.

The Cover of Halo Chronicles can still be found on Halo Nation, this picture is a example. There is no title because this was the cover halfway into development.

Discontinued[]

On the 24th of July, 2009. Jackson, in a interview, said the Halo Chronicles project had been cancelled.
